I have some conflicting opinions on this subject. For starters, I think that dating is an increased risk scenario because attractive women are prime targets for scum bags, even more so if they have made themselves pretty for a date. I have noticed that I am approached by scum bags much more frequently while on a date with a pretty girl in the city. I don’t enjoy being approached by strange men while alone with my date in the parking lot or whatever, and this has happened to me on numerous occasions.

They have basically extended the Federal background check law to include private sales. And at least eight of these states now require background checks at the point of sale for all types of firearms. Two states, Pennsylvania and Maryland limit the check to only handguns. There are four states, Illinois, Hawaii, New Jersey, and Massachusetts that require any person purchasing a firearm to get a permit after a background check.
By Sam Hoober, Gun rights activists are either already aware or beginning to be aware of a need for national concealed carry reciprocity. At present, the right to carry is abridged, to a degree, by the lack of reciprocity between states for concealed carry permits and/or constitutional carry laws.
But as a belt gun? I think you just need to take a step back. You aren’t anyone else. Anyone else isn’t you. Everybody has a whole host of factors that play into their carry decisions. It sounds like a single stack would be the wrong answer for you. But the rest of us aren’t you. For example, I sometimes carry a G26 and sometimes a G30S. I can do it.
The report demonstrates that federally mandated reciprocity would enable a person who can obtain a permit from any state in the nation to carry concealed throughout the country, even in states where the person would otherwise be barred from having guns at all. Firearms folk had been hankering for a slim, single-stack, Tenifer-coated, easily-concealable nine since, well, late in the first Clinton administration. But Smyrna and their Teutonic overlords had other plans. In their judgement, what America really needed was a slim, single-stack, Tenifer-coated, easily-concealable. As the teaser ad claimed, the only other thing smaller than the G42 that fires every time is a freaking Zippo lighter. But more on reliability later. A funny thing happened on the way to the clearance bin.
When people actually got their hands on the new packable pistol, most were seriously impressed. People like me with small hands loved the feel of the gun. And — whaddaya know? Maybe not everyone was as disappointed as it seemed.

WhatsApp The first date my wife and I went on I was carrying concealed. We left the restaurant and she wanted to go into a bar. In an effort to get to the bottom of the issue and find some solutions, two of our writers volunteered to collaborate on this article. The person who petitions to have the firearms removed can be a law enforcement officer, family member or a dating partner. Unsurprisingly, the move was hailed by gun control groups. State law had previously required a hour waiting period for handgun sales, but only a hour waiting period for rifles. The Chicago Tribune effectively lays out what that measure entailed: Dealers and their employees would have to take training to make sure they know how to properly conduct background checks, store guns, prevent thefts and thwart straw purchases, in which someone buys a gun on behalf of a person who is barred from doing so.
Retailers also would be required to install video surveillance systems and conduct more regular inventory. Before they could receive a license, sellers would have to pass an inspection and obtain written approval from their county sheriff. Owners and employees would also be required to pass the same background checks as those seeking to make a purchase, and state regulators could require workers to undergo fingerprinting, provide a recent photograph and sign a release for other records.

Today, seven years after the Buckeye State first allowed citizens to carry concealed weapons, more than a quarter-million Ohioans have concealed carry permits. People debate the impact, although the fact that the identity of the permit holders is off limits to the general public makes that tough. The sweeping changes are part of a little-known but dramatic expansion of user-friendly gun laws across the country.
Rough estimates put the number of concealed carry permit holders at between 4 and 7 million nationwide. In just the past three years, 22 states have weakened or eliminated laws regulating the possession of concealed weapons, according to the Legal Community Against Violence, a public-interest law firm in San Francisco that supports more restrictive gun laws. These measures are easing testing and eligibility requirements for obtaining a permit, opening up new public and private places where people can have concealed weapons, and giving new legal clout to those who use guns to defend themselves.
Many states now give concealed carry permit holders the right to have their guns in parked cars at work — and some have extended the right to parents picking up their children in school zones. Landlords are being told they can no longer refuse to lease property to someone who owns guns. Last year, Louisiana lawmakers enacted a new law allowing churches and other houses of worship to have armed security guards with concealed weapons.
